OUR HISTORY

The Club was born on the November 10 1959 with a meeting at the Stuarts Point Hall. At that time there were around 60 houses in the village.


John Cooper and Arthur Krumim, who were to become the Club's first President and Secretary respectively, sold debentures at 5 pounds each to raise capital for the Clubhouse build. They purchased a block from Walter Conn at a "very reasonable price" and employed the principal workers of the area at that time, banana growers and fisherman.


Their symbols became a part our logo and remain to this day.


The Club was built in 1960 with the official opening on 4th February 1961.


Sadly, both John and Arthur died in 1961.
